While at Media Arts Lab in Los Angeles, I had the privilege of creating a series of ads in the long-running “silhouettes” campaign. It consisted of TV and outdoor and was built around the British post-punk revival band, The Fratelli’s, using their hit song, Flathead. The visual aesthetic reflected the fashion trend born on the streets of London in the mid-2000’s where teens began wearing 80’s style new wave and punk clothing they purchased in second-hand stores. That, combined with the punk nature of the Fratelli’s music, resulted in a geometric/graffiti inspired look for the campaign. (The finished artwork was composited by the amazing team at Logan.)
